Since she was a child Maria Vittoria has always had the passion for Africa and for helping the most needy. For this reason alone, at the tender age of just 17, she left for her first volunteer experience.
Thanks to the Filippin Institute of Paderno del Grappa where she completed high school with Francesca and Diva, Maria contacted a Lasallian Spanish group and in August 2009 she left to volunteer in Ethiopia where Francesca had previously been.
The knowledge of Brother Kassu and the magnificent experience of the orphanage of the Sisters of Mother Teresa of Calcutta resulted in Maria Vittoria to be struck and fascinated by the place as poor and rich of culture and traditions.
However, In the following years, Maria sought to carry out all the commitments she and other volunteers had set up and once graduated in Political Sciences and International Relations at Universita’ Cattolica of Milan, decided to undertake the commitment to create Strawberry Fields Onlus, a non-profit organisation.
This partnership was born together with Diva and Francesca, who, together with Maria share the dream of a better future for children who have grown up perhaps a little too quickly.
